I am 41 years old. I have an awesome husband, great friends, and a supportive family. I have had an improbable career, starting with a bachelor of fine arts in theatrical stage management, winding its way through consulting, research, technology, and entrepreneurship. I’ve succeeded and failed, made good decisions and bad choices, felt untouchable and felt like I was barely holding it together. I’ve assured God that I’ve had enough “character building” life events. And after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at 36, I started to understand the true meaning of the phrase, “life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”
